BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Jennifer Pelling (pictured center)
Jennifer is a founding member of the Tsuha Foundation and a documentary film producer. She believes in the power of stories to break down stereotypes, promote constructive dialogue, and engage people in social change. She serves on the board of directors of Circles USA and Bread for the World, and is developing a nonresidential fellowship for both nonprofit leaders and filmmakers.
Jennifer's previous experience includes consulting and project management (Accenture), homeschooling her children, and teaching at a charter school. She graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Sherri Nee (pictured left)
Sherri Nee joined the Foundation Board in 2022. She is currently the associate director of the national Young Life Catholic Relations office, which focuses on building a bridge between the Catholic Church and Young Life, a global Christian organization that mentors and shares the gospel with teenagers. Before Young Life, Sherri worked in communications and management for several nonprofit projects that served homeless children and families living in poverty. Before her nonprofit work, Sherri was a newspaper reporter.
Sherri received a master's degree in journalism from the University of Illinois and a bachelor's degree in communications from Pepperdine University. She and her husband live in Portland, OR, and they have three adult children.
Tammy Funasaki (pictured right)
Tammy Funasaki joined the Foundation Board in 2017. She is currently a Managing Director at Cresset Partners, responsible for expanding opportunities on the West Coast in partnerships with family offices, institutions and advisors around their private market investments. Previously, Tammy was the Head of Investor Relations at Breakwater Management, a private credit and growth equity firm. She was responsible for managing both fundraising and investor relations activities relating to funds and co-investment efforts. Prior to Breakwater, Tammy spent time as a Director for a single family office, as well as an Advisor at Goldman Sachs.
Tammy received her MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and holds a BA in Global Business from the University of Southern California. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Archstone Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters Los Angeles. Tammy lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
